💬 INTRODUCTION
Yo, I’m Gerald White — aka Da Real Lil G. I’m a hip hop artist, visionary, and legacy builder from the rugged streets of Newfoundland.
I grew up in the hood, ran the block, and at one point I was a top dog in that life. But I also succumbed to my demons and hit rock bottom… What saved me was the decision to change — faith, family, and the work of building a legacy. Now my music is medicine — that raw truth for people waking up and rising.
🔥 THE PASSION

Hip hop became my outlet because it helped me vent in ways I never could. I’ve lived the hurt, loss, addiction, the realness — and the kind of struggles most people don’t even see glimpses of. What keeps me going: my kids, my family, and building something that lasts — not just for me, but for generations.
Every track I drop, every verse I write is for their future.
🇨🇦 COMMUNITY & CANADIAN PRIDE
Being a Canadian creative means carrying “home” with you — the grit of Newfoundland and the strength of our people. I want to show that even from the smallest places, a voice can shake the world.
My story proves that coming from the hood doesn’t lock you into one life — you can flip the script and lift your whole community.
🚀 BUILDING THE DREAM
Turning my life around after hitting rock bottom is my biggest win. Staying sober, being a father, rebuilding trust with my family, and creating dope music and spiritual content that helps people — these are the moments I live for. Each message from someone who says my music or wisdom has helped them is proof that my legacy is being built.

Another standout moment was collaborating with Detroit Next 2 Blow — linking up with artists who match my energy and vision was a huge step in expanding my reach and influence.
🤝 NETWORKING SPOT

I’d love to collab with Kryple, Junk, Quake Matthew’s, Jr Slotta — and anyone who supports awakening vibes or pure gangster energy.
I love both, and I mix it all into my music. Working with people on that level would push me to elevate even further while staying true to my vision.
🌈 CLOSING
Next up: more raw, unapologetic music that tells my story. I’m expanding my reach, building my legacy, and making sure my family is set for generations. I’ve walked through the dark, faced my demons — and now I bring the light: awakening people, inspiring change, and proving that no matter where you start, you can rise to the top.
💭 Q&A WITH DA REAL LIL G
Comet: Did you ever imagine your work would reach people this deeply?
Da Real Lil G: No way — I only started rapping three years ago, and ever since, my life’s flipped upside down. From doing multiple shows a month to getting love across Canada, the United States, and back home in my community, it’s a feeling like nothing else.

Comet: What kind of legacy do you hope your work leaves behind?
Da Real Lil G: I want my legacy to awaken the world for hundreds of years after I’m gone — to inspire kids to change their lives like I did. I want to teach people from the hood that life isn’t all streets — and make sure my family is taken care of for generations.
Comet: What does it feel like to be constantly on the move for work?
Da Real Lil G: I don’t even think of it as work — it’s my life. And honestly, I fuckin’ love it. Performing, creating, and connecting with people is the most amazing feeling I’ve ever experienced.
Comet: Do you ever struggle with loneliness or burnout while traveling?
Da Real Lil G: Always. I recharge with nature walks and meditation. But I never feel alone — after my spiritual awakening, I know I’m one with everything.

Comet: What has it been like investing in your dreams while keeping up with everyday life?
Da Real Lil G: It’s a struggle, a process. Balancing life, home drama, and responsibility while chasing music isn’t easy. But after everything I’ve been through, these small things can’t break me. I see myself on top in the next five years, making good money doing what I love.
Comet: Have finances ever almost made you give up — and what pulled you through?
Da Real Lil G: I take high-risk, high-reward moves because I know my ability to overcome obstacles. For example, these upcoming shows with Karl Wolf, Detroit Next 2 Blow, and Nocturn NL were a huge financial risk. But I believe in myself — most people wouldn’t do what it takes. I’ve learned that even if I fuck up somewhere in the process, I always find a way to fix it or come back stronger. So I take the leap on opportunities that can change my life forever.
Comet: Would you like to add anything else?
Da Real Lil G: Thank you so much for reaching out to me for this amazing interview! Stay in touch — I really appreciate this! 🙏🏻❤️
