💬 INTRODUCTION

Born in Edmonton and now residing in St. Albert, I came into the world at just 1 lb 14 oz, three months premature — and honestly, the list goes on (laughs). From the very beginning, I’ve looked at life like, If I can get through that, I can get through anything.” Outside of music and connecting with people in the community, I keep things simple — blasting music, writing, working on my car whenever I get the chance, and just enjoying life outside of work. I like to have fun and stay grounded.

🔥 THE PASSION

Music is something I felt drawn to from a very young age. I still remember hearing The Slim Shady LP playing in the backseat of my dad’s car — from that moment on, I was hooked. When things get tough, taking much-needed time for yourself and reminding yourself of how many obstacles you’ve already overcome helps keep you grounded. Having a strong mental state and truly believing you can get through it makes all the difference.

🇨🇦 COMMUNITY & CANADIAN PRIDE

I just like being Canadian. There’s so much talent coming out of Canada that often goes unrecognized. Being able to represent not just my city, but my province and my country, genuinely makes me proud.

🚀 BUILDING THE DREAM

One of my biggest standout moments was quitting drinking. I noticed myself coming back — and I think my friends and family did too. I’m also proud of watching Whole Heart Entertainment make real moves. At the end of the day, those are my best friends. If they’re happy, I’m happy — and I’m grateful to be along for the ride.

Another achievement for me has been learning so much in such a short amount of time — not just about my passion, but about life itself.

🤝 NETWORKING SPOT

Sitting down with my brother ILLIAM to make another project is something I’d love to do, along with a long-awaited collaboration with Mickey Dubbs. I’d also really like to work with Poltergeist OD, because our styles would blend perfectly and I think we could create something truly memorable. Collaborating with Jeremy Winter is another goal — that dude is a whole vibe, and I think he could teach me how to really cool out on a track.

 ⭐ CLOSING

Big things are in motion. I’ve got upcoming shows lined up this summer and I’m gearing up for a strong season ahead. My merchandise line is officially launched and the in-home studio is fully set up — locked in and ready to create. Follow my Instagram to stay updated!

🎧 COMETS QUETIONS:

COMET: What’s the story behind your creative journey — where did it all begin for you?

TWIG: It all began around the age of 13 or 14, hanging out with friends and learning how to beatbox (fun fact). Over time, I realized, As long as you practice, you can get really good.” I think that was the moment the lightbulb went on above my head.

COMET: What were some of the biggest moments or challenges that shaped your path so far?

TWIG: In real life, my biggest challenge was saying goodbye to alcohol and choosing to give myself a happier life. In music, my biggest challenge was studying timing and not getting distracted in the studio. Performing on the same stage as Snak The Ripper was also a huge moment — definitely one of those pressure is on experiences.

COMET: What does the evolution of your journey say about who you’ve become?

TWIG: It shows that I went from being a goofball just having fun to becoming a more professional young man — still having fun, but in a more responsible way. I’m now making music with real substance, talking not only about problems I’ve faced, but things I know others have faced as well.

COMET: Looking back, what did you want to be when you grew up — and looking forward, where do you hope to be now?

TWIG: Honestly, growing up I wanted nothing more than to be a monster truck driver (laughs). Looking forward, I hope my family and friends are mentally, physically, and financially stable — and genuinely happy with little to no worries. I’d also love to start selling out shows soon.

COMET: If you could use this space to hold yourself accountable, what would you commit to today?

TWIG: I’d hold myself accountable for the fact that I was a mess back in my drinking days (IYKYK). Since then, I’ve stopped drinking and completely turned my life around. I’m committed to striving to be a better person every single day.
