💬 INTRODUCTION

Born in Edmonton and now living in St. Albert, I entered this world at just 1 lb 14 oz, three months premature. Honestly, the list of challenges I've faced goes on (laughs). From the very beginning, I’ve approached life with the mindset, “If I can get through that, I can get through anything.” Outside of music and community connections, I keep things simple. I enjoy blasting music, writing, working on my car whenever I can, and just savoring life outside of work. I like to have fun and stay grounded.

🔥 THE PASSION FOR MUSIC

Music has always called to me. I still remember hearing The Slim Shady LP playing in the backseat of my dad’s car. From that moment, I was hooked. When life gets tough, taking time for myself and reminding myself of how many obstacles I’ve already overcome helps keep me grounded. A strong mental state and the belief that I can get through anything truly makes all the difference.

🇨🇦 COMMUNITY & CANADIAN PRIDE

I take pride in being Canadian. There’s so much talent emerging from Canada that often goes unnoticed. Representing my city, province, and country fills me with genuine pride. I believe in supporting local artists and showcasing the incredible creativity that thrives in our communities.

🚀 BUILDING THE DREAM

One of my standout moments was quitting drinking. I noticed a positive change in myself, and I think my friends and family did too. I’m also proud of watching Whole Heart Entertainment make significant strides. At the end of the day, those are my best friends. Their happiness brings me joy, and I’m grateful to be part of their journey.

Another achievement has been the rapid learning I’ve experienced—not just about my passion, but about life itself. Every day presents a new opportunity to grow and evolve.

🤝 NETWORKING SPOT

I’m excited about the prospect of collaborating with my brother ILLIAM on another project. I’ve also been looking forward to a long-awaited collaboration with Mickey Dubbs. Our styles would blend perfectly, and I believe we could create something truly memorable together. Additionally, I’d love to work with Poltergeist OD because I think our styles would mesh well. Collaborating with Jeremy Winter is another goal of mine—he’s a whole vibe, and I think he could teach me how to really cool out on a track.

🎤 THE CREATIVE JOURNEY

The Beginning

My creative journey began around the age of 13 or 14. I spent time with friends and learned how to beatbox. Fun fact: I realized that with practice, I could really improve my skills. That was the moment the lightbulb went on above my head.

Overcoming Challenges

In real life, my biggest challenge was saying goodbye to alcohol and choosing a happier life. In music, my biggest hurdle has been mastering timing and avoiding distractions in the studio. Performing on the same stage as Snak The Ripper was a huge moment for me—definitely one of those “pressure is on” experiences.

Personal Growth

Reflecting on my journey, I see how I’ve transformed. I went from being a goofball just having fun to becoming a more professional young man. I still have fun, but now it’s in a more responsible way. I’m creating music with real substance, addressing not only my own struggles but also the challenges that others face.

⭐ CLOSING THOUGHTS

I’ve heard whispers about Whole Heart for the Holidays being in the works. I’m also in the process of launching my own merchandise line and building an in-home studio. Follow my Instagram to stay updated on my journey.

🎧 COMETS QUESTIONS

COMET What’s the story behind your creative journey — where did it all begin for you?

TWIG It all began around the age of 13 or 14, hanging out with friends and learning how to beatbox (fun fact). Over time, I realized, “As long as you practice, you can get really good.” That was the moment the lightbulb went on above my head.

COMET What were some of the biggest moments or challenges that shaped your path so far?

TWIG In real life, my biggest challenge was saying goodbye to alcohol and choosing to give myself a happier life. In music, my biggest challenge was studying timing and not getting distracted in the studio. Performing on the same stage as Snak The Ripper was also a huge moment—definitely one of those “pressure is on” experiences.

COMET What does the evolution of your journey say about who you’ve become?

TWIG It shows that I went from being a goofball just having fun to becoming a more professional young man. I’m still having fun, but in a more responsible way. I’m now making music with real substance, talking not only about problems I’ve faced but also about things I know others have faced as well.

COMET Looking back, what did you want to be when you grew up — and looking forward, where do you hope to be now?

TWIG Honestly, growing up, I wanted nothing more than to be a monster truck driver (laughs). Looking forward, I hope my family and friends are mentally, physically, and financially stable—and genuinely happy with little to no worries. I’d also love to start selling out shows soon.

COMET If you could use this space to hold yourself accountable, what would you commit to today?

TWIG I’d hold myself accountable for the fact that I was a mess back in my drinking days (IYKYK). Since then, I’ve stopped drinking and completely turned my life around. I’m committed to striving to be a better person every single day.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Don’t take life too seriously. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Learn to enjoy life by yourself—without needing constant entertainment to stay occupied.
