This piece was written to spotlight THE V!NZ and give fans a deeper look into the heart behind the music — not just the release itself. I wanted to create a space where artists can share their story, their process, and the emotions that fuel their work, beyond a quick promo or surface-level post. The goal is to help listeners connect with the artist on a personal level, understand the meaning behind the music, and truly support the journey. If this track or THE V!NZ’s message resonates with you, take a moment to stream, share, and show love — independent artists grow when real people stand behind them. Lets get into it!
COMET: When you’re singing this song, where does your mind take you? Visually describe what you see — the scene, the colours, the emotions moving through you in that moment.

THE V!NZ: To be quite honest with you, some of my past I numbed out through using drugs and alcohol. But now that that’s out of my system, this song really brought me to so many different places that I don’t think I was ready to go. On the other hand, it also made me remember the beautiful parts of growing up. It’s a reflection of my past up to my present.
I remember the streets, the concrete, I remember living in my old house. I remember growing up in poverty. I remember the people who loved me unconditionally and helped me out.
As far as emotions and colors, while shooting the video it brings me into a “fall” — like a death to a rebirth — so a lot of fiery energy: reds, oranges, and browns. Emotion-wise, I felt almost every emotion there is in this song. I felt angry. I felt sad. I felt happy. I felt energetic. And I’m starting to feel proud of the man that I’m becoming.
COMET: Is there a verse or line that’s hard to perform — one that carries so much emotion it almost feels heavy every time you hit it?
THE V!NZ: I haven’t performed this song live yet. But at the end of the first verse, when I speak on my household situation — being verbally abused and gaslit by my stepmother — it definitely gets heavy for me, because I was taught to show restraint. At some point, I feel like maybe I should have stood up for myself earlier or spoken up about the situation.
I kind of left it in the dark and didn’t tell anybody about it. Nobody in my family really knows why I ran away in the first place. I left for two weeks and came back home — and that’s when my ex-stepmother told my dad: "He goes or I go."
There are a few moments in this song that do that to me though. I feel like this song has a lot to do with my healing journey.

COMET: Where exactly is home for you in this record? Is it a place, a person, or a memory that keeps calling you back?
THE V!NZ: I feel like “home” to me is coming back to who you are — your authentic self, the person you were before the world got a hold of you. It’s that feeling of being in a safe space where you’re accepted for who you are. It’s knowing you’re loved and supported, no matter how lonely it may seem.
COMET: What was the first line, sound, or spark that turned this idea into a full song — that moment when it shifted from a thought into something real?
THE V!NZ: Well, this one was an easy one for me. The song is produced by Anno Domini Beats, and the title was literally called “Coming Home.” I’m really one of those rappers who writes about what the beat tells me to say — if that makes sense.
I work with certain instruments or melodies in the song to create that whole vibe. So by the time the chorus hit, I already had the title in my head — it just came out like that. When I heard the beat switch up, I was like, “Wait… this has a whole story just waiting to be heard.”
COMET: Was there ever a point where you almost didn’t want to release it, because it felt too personal or too raw to let the world hear?
THE V!NZ: I don’t think I ever had a period of “I don’t want to release it.” I did have a small stage of hesitation because of how personal and vulnerable it was.
I’m starting to realize that it’s kind of my duty as a hip-hop artist to be raw — to give people something relatable.
We all know pain is relatable.
I hope this song helps people get through tough times.
COMET: What’s one thing you want your audience to truly know about this track — not just what they’ll hear, but what you hope they’ll feel or understand once they’ve lived with it?
THE V!NZ: No matter how hard the world tries to beat you down, there’s always a fighter within. There’s only one way to go when you hit rock bottom — and that’s up. If you fall down seven times, get up eight. It’s only through adversity that you truly find your strength.
COMET: Anything else you’d like to include — shoutouts, producers, visuals, or upcoming releases you want to mention?

THE V!NZ: First and foremost, I’d like to thank all of my fellow mutants for not giving up on me — all of my support systems and mentors. As far as shout-outs go, the list is super extended for me to name names, and in my heart of hearts, I know that they know who they are. God bless y’all.
With that being said, I would like to give a shout-out to Stephan “Di$TiNCT” & The Block Productions for giving me a new avenue and assisting me in opening doors I didn’t think were possible.
Also, I don’t think people realize how many individuals are involved behind the scenes when it comes to even just making one song or video… So shout-out to everybody involved in making any of my cover art, anyone involved in making any of my videos, anyone who has liked, shared, or commented on my social media.
Anyone who has helped me with my merchandise or the selling of that merchandise. Shout-out to all the DJs that played my tracks on their shows.
COMET: Where can fans stream the track once it’s live? Drop the best link for everyone to tap into and support.
THE V!NZ: The song will be available everywhere — and the official music video will be up on YouTube. This is a newer page, so if you could smash that subscribe button, it would mean a lot! YouTube: https://youtube.com/@thevinzofficial?si=0ugHiNPomcwvUX03
I’ll share my Master Link so you can pick your platform — all streaming options are in one spot, ready to go when it drops:
